Make an PC client.
Make a PC client.
As installs locally.
There you fill in the same particulars as in the web form.
But can register multiple files queued fore uploading.
This to help whit sending multiple big files that cant be zipped.24 votesWe’re working on bringing the FileCentral Desktop application to Sprend. /Arne

A Queue system.
Let Sprend have a Queue system.
Allowing the web client to registered multiple files for uploading.
That are handled in queue order.
When one is done and download link is set.
It moves on to the next. When the last file is done.
The end page will present all the uploaded files whit an OK or Error information.
If OK, You will see what file has been given what Download link.PS. Yes I'm the same person behind the "Make an PC Client! DS.

Upload indicator with presentation of remaining time.
Upgrade the upload indicator.
So it presents the estimated remaining time off the file upload.
This to make it easier to know when the upload may be completed.13 votes

Let the user store their files, rather than just send them.
User- Login so people can manage their files. They can send the file in a "link format" to a friend (sprend/userlogin/user123/song.mp3) for example, so they can share between them.
Public folders that can be accessed by everyone and private folders to access the files from anywhere!
Creating profiles, can help Sprend to become a social object. For example, niche to people that have common interests (music? photos?) and they can interact with each other.
a simple user will have a limited profile and functionality, a user with subscription will have more GB of file space, more functionality.
Users can also…

It seems that this suggestion should be split into two: a) file storage and b) community features.

Make a Facebook application
Make a Facebook application for easy file transfering for bigger files, between the users. In that way more people are going to use your service and more will know of you as the top file transfering provider.

Do you have a couple of example sites for us to get inspired by?

Receiver should be able to start "streaming" immediatly at the same time the sender is sending.
That would save a lot of time when we are in a hurry. That would mean always! ;-)

personal dropbox form
it would be cool if i as a receiver of files could have a personalized sprend-form on my site (connected to my email address) where users can search files on their computer and upload (maybe with progress-bar and success message). i would then get an email notification with the download link. no-one needs to see the content of that dropbox but me when login in to your service with my email for cleaning up files

Good idea. It’s available at our other service, filecentral.se. Try it out there.

Recipient of multiple files should be able to download all from one download page
Scenario:
1. Joe receives four e-mails from Sprend, each with a link to a download page.
2. Joe clicks the link in the first e-mail.
3. The download page shows not only the first download link, but also the three other links.
4. Joe clicks each download link in turn to download each file, with no need to return to the mail box.1 vote -
The email message has a preview attached, viewable on your phone.
It should be possible to create thumbnail previews of many different file types, e.g: images, movies, sound, pdf.

Display download progress and indicate how to find the downloaded file
Different browsers have different ways to show the progress of a download. Once the download is complete the actual downloaded file can be difficult to find. I think it would be nice to..
1) Display the download progress in the Sprend gui, and
2) Help the user to find the downloaded file, with some discriptive images. The second idea would be very browser and OS dependant.
